Setting system time on
Panasonic TVS Voicemail systems.
The Panasonic TVS voicemail systems have an internal clock that may need to be changed when daylight savings time comes and goes each year. This clock may work independent of clock in the telephone system, so even though a display phone may have the proper time, the voicemail may not be correct.
It is very easy to change the time or date manually. It can be done through the “Message Manager’s Box” or through the “System Manager’s Box”. These are the dial-in “mailboxes” that control many of the voicemail features. To learn more about these features see the voicemail Installation Manual sections 5 and 6.
To change the time:
Call into the voicemail system by following the steps below (this can also be done from outside the office if your system answers automatically).
>Press [Intercom ] 165 (the number for your TVS voicemail system is usually 165, if your system is different, press the number to call your voicemail system. If you have a button programmed for your voicemail system you can press that button. )
>Press # 6 (Entering “mailbox” mode, the system says “enter a mailbox number”)
>Press * 998 (Enter the “Message Manager’s Box”)
System will prompt you for the following settings
>Press XXXX # (Enter your passcode if you have one, followed by the pound sign.)
>Press 4 To set clock
System reads current time
>Press 1 To change time
Example: 930# to set time for 9:30
>Press 1 for AM or 2 for PM
System will say the new time
>Press 2 to accept and SAVE the new time (DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE IT)
Or press 1 if you need to change it again
System will now read the date. Follow the prompts if you need to change the date.
>Press # 9 End programming
You’re done for the next 6 months.
